: Not officially. Namibia does not have a standard minimum age for children joining safari activities, and parks like Etosha National Park happily welcome the whole family, without any exception. Only challenging activities such as leopard tracking or walking safaris have age limits, and some high-end lodges maintain their own age policies. But if you plan to take the family, we’ll take the age of the little ones into account and plan your itinerary accordingly!
: Definitely. Namibia’s relaxed approach to children on safari makes it particularly easy for families. Most parks and lodges welcome children on game drives, although the exact arrangement can vary. Some may recommend shorter drives for younger children, while others ask parents to sit in front and make sure the kids stay quiet in the bush. We’ll help you choose safari experiences that suit your children’s ages and attention spans, to help minimise that forever question kids tend to have, “Are we there yet?” ☺️
: Yes, absolutely. Child seats can be arranged for your rental car (at an extra cost), and we recommend booking one in advance – because when it comes to safety, there’s no room for improvising. As soon as we know your little passengers’ ages and requirements, we can ensure the right seats are arranged for your journey (at an extra cost).
: Namibia’s lodges and camps are generally very welcoming to families, but some smaller or more exclusive properties may have age restrictions or facilities better suited to adults. Most lodges, however, offer family or interconnecting accommodations, and some add child-friendly activities, nanny services and plenty of space to play and explore to the mix. We always make sure accommodations on your itinerary match your family – because in a perfect family safari, both the grown-ups and the small people get to enjoy.
