10-day self-drive safari in Namibia: Nature and Wildlife Galore – Platinum
Discover Namibia’s green side in style. This luxurious 10-day route takes you to the green and sumptuous side of the country. It all starts with what used to be the Caprivi Strip, but is now called Zambezi. This small strip of land is connected to Botswana’s Okavango Delta and filled with floodplains, rivers, and woodland. The result: it’s teeming with life. Marvel at crocodiles, elephants, hippos, buffalo, and various antelope and bird species when driving through the Bwabwata National Park to the Mahango Game Reserve and Rundu in the west.
After these miracles, the magic continues in the stunning Etosha National Park and the Ongava Game Reserve. Even more natural wonders and fascinating wildlife await you here. And the best: you can even see at night during a game drive under the stars. Travel from park to park in your own car, then join for guided activities in the beautiful all-in lodges where you’ll be staying.
Get ready for an adventure that takes you to such remote areas that sometimes neither phones nor Wi-Fi will work. Luckily, maps on phones or GPS devices also work offline, and we provide you with clear directions, a foldable paper map and the exact GPS coordinates for your hotels.
In Bwabwata National Park and Mahango Game Reserve, you go on your own game drives. In Etosha National Park and Ongava Game Reserve a guide accompanies you on the game drives. Upon arrival at your lodge in Etosha and Ongava, you can pick two activities (per day) to add to your program. This can be a guided game drive, but also a guided nature walk, sundowner or night game drive. All these excursions are included in the price, take half a day max, are guided, and might be joined by other guests (unless you book a private excursion).
