At Africa Safari Trips, we offer reliable, road-trip-ready vehicles to ensure a smooth and enjoyable journey. Your travel consultant usually quotes the most suitable vehicle for your route, but if you wish to up- or downgrade, here are your options:

About your rental

Share the wheel
The rental fees include one additional driver. This means you can take turns driving, and you can both enjoy taking the wheel and the views! On one condition: you both carry a valid driving licence of at least one year old, printed in English and with a picture. And if you are younger than 24 years of age, a surcharge applies.

Unlimited mileage
When you rent a car with us, there is no limit to the number of kilometres you drive, as long as you stay on the route provided. If your itinerary starts in one place and ends somewhere else, or if you need the car delivered or picked up to/ from an alternative location, an extra charge will be added to your bill.

Fuel charges
As with almost all rental cars, fuel is at your expense. Your car will be handed to you with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. Unfortunately, charging stations for electric cars are still scarce, so this is not an option we can currently offer.

Inside the car
All of our cars are fitted with air conditioning, electric windows, Bluetooth, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a USB Port and one or more 12V power sockets (depending on the car).

After choosing your car, you can customise it further. Travelling with kids? Baby seats can be arranged via the rental car company at an extra cost. WiFi in the car is not available, but you can request a satellite phone and/ or GPS at an extra cost (next to the paper road map we provide). After confirming your travels with us, you can arrange all extras by filling in your needs in our booking form.

Damages and traffic fines
Your rental fee includes a premium cover for the unlikely event your tyres or windows get damaged, the car gets stolen, or you have a collision. The cars also carry 1 or 2 spare tyres in case you get a flat. But in case your keys get lost, you pay a fee to have us come and replace it.

And last but not least, we are sorry, but if you like speeding, traffic fines are on you!
