Day 1

Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi

As you step out of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a member of our Africa Safari Trips team or a hotel driver greets you with a big smile: 'Karibu Kenya â€“ welcome to Kenya!' He brings you straight to your hotel to relax and, along the way, you get your first impressions of vibrant Nairobi. The next day, your guide takes you on an exclusive, private safari that allows you to travel at your own pace. Let the adventure begin!

Day 2 - 3

En route to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve

Lovers of road trips will get their money’s worth today, as this is the day of a drive to what might be the most famous safari destination in the world. To top it off, if you stay at Zebra Plains just outside of the reserve, the day ends on a high note with a walking safari. However, you can skip the walking safari and opt to sleep right in the heart of the Masai Mara, with our gold or platinum accommodation.

Day 4

Boat ride on Lake Naivasha and walking safari on Crescent Island

Have you ever wanted to pass floating hippos by boat? Seek no longer: during a boat safari on Lake Naivasha this is exactly what will happen. You will pass between huge groups of hippos while seeing eagles and cormorants flying above you, and admiring giraffes on the shore. The safari on board a small motorized boat takes about 60 minutes and ends on the beautiful Crescent Island, where you will continue with a stunning walking safari between zebras, giraffes and wildebeests.

Discover the iconic Amboseli National Park

For two days, explore the paths of the magical Amboseli National Park. Fantastic Mount Kilimanjaro views and animals grazing around await you. And if you stay at Tulia Amboseli, you can even admire all this with a sundowner in hand!

Day 7

Discover Tsavo West National Park and the Mzima Springs

Tsavo West National Park is full of stars you want to get in front of your lens. From the Big Five to the big stars of the flora and fauna â€“ you’ll meet them all when discovering the national park itself and the unique Mzima Springs.

Day 8 - 9

Tsavo East National Park

With over 13,000 square kilometres, Tsavo East National Park is huge, impressive, and, since it was founded in 1948, old. Cruise the outstretched savannah of the Yatta Plateau with its large groups of red elephants, and observe some of the last remaining supertuskers and maneless lions. Listen to the famous story of the man-eating lions, while keeping your eyes peeled for an amazing amount of other animals; four of the Big Five (minus rhinos) together with dik-diks, zebras, giraffes, yellow baboons, cheetahs, African wild dogs, elands, gazelles, gerenuks, hyenas, jackals, and over 500 species of birds!

Train ride to Mombasa

Embark on an unforgettable train ride through the breathtaking landscapes of Kenya's national parks. While heading to Mombasa, expect some great sightings of animals and nature; you might even see the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance! So sit back, grab some snacks and enjoy this nature documentary on rails. Once there, you either stay in a resort on Diani Beach or go to the exclusive tropical island of Chale!

Diani Beach, or Chale Island!

Diani Beach is perfect for beach holidays - think the most outstretched and white beaches, a blue Indian Ocean, and plenty of resorts and restaurants to choose from. Always dreamed of tropical islands? Then take it up a notch and stay on Chale - a mesmerizing island just off the coast, with an amazing design hotel to pamper all your needs.

Flight home from Mombasa (not included in the price)

This is your last day! Unfortunately, our driver will have to take you to Mombasa to catch your flight home from Moi International Airport. Sad to leave...? Then don't worry! We can still add a few more days on those beautiful beaches or even add a few exciting safari days to your holiday!
