: Your journey into the wild begins the moment you board your short one-hour flight from Johannesburg to Skukuza Airport (SZK) - a tiny airport set right inside Kruger National Park. You see the landscape shift from city grids to vast stretches of bushveld, and you might even spot the silvery ribbon of the Sabie River or a herd of elephants moving between the trees. Skukuza Airport is just a 10 to 15 minutes drive from Kruger's Paul Kruger Gate and close to several Sabi Sands lodges. With impalas often grazing near the runway and bush sounds all around you, it’s a seamless and spectacular arrival into South Africa’s wildest heart.

If you want a jam-packed wildlife experience, then Kruger National Park will make your dream come true. This park is said to have the highest chance of seeing all the famous Big Five PLUS the Avian Six (six endemic and funny-looking bird species – only to be found in Kruger) in one day. Mind you, this park is massive! With no less than a whopping 2 million hectares, this is the largest (and most famous) national park in South Africa, with almost 150 different mammal species and 500 bird species. You can also visit archaeological sites, learn about Kruger's amazing and turbulent history and check out the wildlife rehabilitation centres.

Travelling in an open 4x4 vehicle with your own expert guide, you’ll venture deep into Big Five territory in search of elephants, lions, giraffes and - with a little luck - the elusive leopard. The day begins at sunrise, when wildlife is most active and the bush slowly awakens. Along the way, your guide shares fascinating insights into animal behaviour and the delicate ecosystems of the park. Relaxed stops for breakfast and lunch break up the adventure, giving you time to stretch your legs and take in the scenery. Where the edge of the world meets the sea – that's where you find Cape Town, South Africa’s oldest and second-largest city, filled with endless highlights! From Robben Island and the Castle of Good Hope for history buffs, to Table Mountain and Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden for nature lovers. Boulders Beach with its clumsy penguin colony and Hout Bay with its lazy seals melt your heart, and for cultural highlights, you'd best head to the colourful Bo-Kaap for a free walking tour. : Today marks the start of your Western Cape adventure. Your flight from the Kruger area to Cape Town International Airport takes about 2.5 hours, carrying you from the warm bushveld of the northeast to the dramatic coastlines of the southwest. Once you step into the arrivals hall, your guide will be there to welcome you and assist with the next part of your journey. From here, it’s a short transfer into Cape Town, affectionately known as the Mother City - where mountains meet the ocean and the next chapter of your trip unfolds.
