Day 1

Arrival in Mombasa

As you step out of Moi International Airport, your personal Africa Safari Trips driver greets you with a big smile: 'Karibu Kenya – welcome to Kenya!'. He takes you straight to your hotel, while you take in the first images of the vibrant city of Mombasa. From the old ruins of Fort Jesus to the white sand beaches of the turquoise-blue Indian Ocean, Mombasa is a dream destination. Your paradise vacation in Kenya has just started!

Day 2

Nguuni Nature Sanctuary – guided hike, giraffe watching and sundowner with bonfire

In the mood for a different kind of sundowner during your stay at the coast? Then by all means, go to the Nguuni Nature Sanctuary, a 10-minute drive from Mombasa's Bamburi Beach. The sanctuary offers forests and savannahs and views all the way up to the Nguu Tatu Hills. Go on a 30-minute guided walk, see giraffes snatch leaves high up in the trees, spot oryxes, elands or let an ostrich come close. Then settle down for a sunset, followed by a bonfire with marshmallows!

Day 3

Drive from Mombasa to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

You leave Mombasa around 7:30 AM for a journey inland to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary - a 4 hour drive. The route winds through small villages and shifting scenery, with occasional chances to spot wildlife along the way. As the coastal bustle fades, the landscape shifts into dry acacia savanna that becomes more dramatic with every kilometre.

Day 4 - 5

Drive from Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and Lumo Conservancy to Tsavo East National Park

The drive from Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and LUMO Community Wildlife Conservancy to Tsavo East National Park takes a little under 3 hours. The route moves from the cooler, greener hills into open plains, where the land gradually flattens and acacia trees start to dominate the horizon. By the time you enter Tsavo East, the landscape feels wider and drier, with classic savanna scenery and the first signs of its large wildlife herds.

Day 6

Drive from Tsavo East National Park to Diani Beach

This five‑hour drive south from Tsavo East National Park heads toward the coast, passing through Voi before the highway descends into the humid coastal lowlands. The Likoni Ferry crossing adds a memorable final chapter - a short sail over the Kilindini Channel before Diani’s white sands and swaying palms deliver the perfect safari finale.

Day 7 - 8

Diani Beach

Stretching along Kenya's Indian Ocean coast like a ribbon of brilliant white, Diani Beach is a gorgeous setting for a beach holiday. Against the backdrop of forests echoing with the sounds of wildlife, it offers clear blue waters, white palm fringed beaches, and many watersports activities. Here you can swim along sandbanks, snorkel among colourful reefs, dive in deep sea canyons, or try out kitesurfing or supping. And for those in need of a dash of culture, the vibrant city of Mombasa is not far away!
