Visit the traditional Khwai Village

Step into the heart of Khwai Village on a guided cultural visit that brings local life into focus. This engaging experience introduces you to community traditions, values and everyday rhythms, starting at the kgotla. This is the village’s traditional meeting place, where stories of Khwai’s past and present will be shared. A little over 400 people live in this village, and by welcoming visitors, the village manages to be economically sustainable. After the stories, it’s time to visit the pre-school and a place where local women are weaving beautiful baskets (and yes, you can purchase one and support the artist!). Authentic and rewarding, this visit deepens cultural understanding, while directly supporting community and conservation efforts in the Khwai.
