Step into the traditional world of the Mbunza people at the open-air Mbunza living museum, just west of Rundu. Rather than displays behind glass, you’ll meet local community members who bring their heritage to life through demonstrations, stories and everyday skills. Discover how traditional homes were built, see crafts such as weaving, pottery, carving and basket-making, and learn about the tools, musical instruments and customs that shaped daily life. It’s a glimpse into a way of life that has been passed down through generations. Led by members of the Mbunza community, the visit includes plenty of interaction… don’t be surprised if it ends with some traditional singing and dancing; the Mbunza know how to put on a good finale!
