Visit the Kanangorok Hot Springs in Kidepo Valley National Park

Visit the spectacular Kanangorok Hot Springs in the middle of the Kidepo Valley National Park. Getting there takes a while, but that’s more than okay. After all, you’ll be driving through a beautiful national park with animals like giraffes, zebras, buffalos, kudus, lions and leopards. After a challenging walk through long grasses and thorny bushes, you can relax and marvel at the outstretched grassy plains and surrounding mountain ranges, and of course the sight of the 50°C water flowing between dark-coloured rocks. Some locals believe the water to have healing powers, which is why they bathe in it (we wouldn’t recommend though).

Additional information

The Kanangorok hot springs lie 11km beyond the Kidepo River on the Sudan border and this is a glorious place to sit and view the mountains beyond the frontier.
