Kwessi Dunes is a Sossusvlei safari camp located deep in the striking NamibRand Nature Reserve. With its rolling desert plains and backdrop of iconic red dunes, you have a daily to-do list: soaking up the beauty of the desert, admiring the antelope that scatter the sand, and stargazing. Kwessie offers 12 cool (yes: air-conditioned!) and comfortable chalets with canvas walls, high thatched roofs, private terraces, Wi-Fi, and an ensuite bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers. Each bedroom has a separate ‘stargazer’ room, completely open to the sky, and the perfect spot to watch the celestial theatre show above. The desert vistas from the swimming pool are spectacular, and the main area houses a bar, a library and several dining areas where you’ll be treated to gourmet cuisine. The camp runs entirely on solar power, but hair dryers are available on request.
