The small, eco-award-winning Kicheche Laikipia tented camp is located in the Ol’ Pejeta Conservancy in the shadow of Mount Kenya, at an altitude of 1,830 meters. The six luxuriously appointed tents, one of which is a 2-bedroom family suite, have lovely ensuite bathrooms, comfortable beds, and a private veranda from which you have a wonderful view of a nearby dam. Especially in the dry season, the dam is a magnet for wildlife.
Two fires blaze in the large living and dining tent for the cooler evenings. Here you can have the most delicious meals because Kicheche is known for its good and creative cuisine, where fresh ingredients from the region are mixed together daily to create the most delicious dishes. Take the opportunity to eat outside while watching the starry sky, but do not forget to bring a jacket if you do. At an altitude of 1,830 meters above sea level, the morning and evening hours can be cold!
