The Isunga Lodge, at the edge of the infamous Kibale National Park, is surrounded by no less than three national parks (the Rwenzori Peaks and Queen Elizabeth National Park are also in view) and offers 8 simple cabins (one for families) spread over a hillside. All cottages have charging facilities, mosquito nets, flush toilets, hot showers and a private terrace with breathtaking views of the Kibale Forest. The refreshing saltwater pool, a bar and a restaurant with a big love of fresh food (in set menus but with attention for dietary requests), and of course the proximity of chimpanzees complete the picture. WiFi is available in the public areas but might be a bit slow since the lodge is so remote. But then again, do you really need WiFi in paradise?
