Chobe Game Lodge

As the only permanent safari lodge within Chobe National Park, Chobe Game Lodge lies directly on the Chobe River (100 kilometres west of Victoria Falls) with a 250-metre elevated boardwalk for watching elephants, hippos, and river life drift by. The 40 river-facing rooms (plus four suites) are air-conditioned with overhead fans, private terraces, complimentary minibars, and roomy en-suite bathrooms complete with walk-in showers, twin basins, and a freestanding bathtub! Families are well catered for with interleading rooms, triple rooms, and suites with a second bedroom and private plunge pool. Dining happens across four locations: a riverside boma under the stars, the open-sided buffet area, the boardwalk, or the terrace – so no two evenings feel the same. Between safaris, the resort-sized swimming pool, a spa, a small gym, and two bars (one with a billiard table and the lodge’s only television) keep things lively.
