The guide takes you straight to your hotel, while you take in the first images of the vibrant city of Mombasa. The next day, the guide takes you on an exclusive, private safari that allows you to travel at your own pace. Day 2

Nguuni Nature Sanctuary â€“ guided hike, giraffe watching and sundowner with bonfire

In the mood for a different kind of sundowner during your stay at the coast? Then by all means, go to the Nguuni Nature Sanctuary, a 10-minute drive from Mombasa's Bamburi Beach. The sanctuary offers forests and savannahs and views all the way up to the Nguu Tatu Hills. Go on a 30-minute guided walk, see giraffes snatch leaves high up in the trees, spot oryxes, elands or let an ostrich come close. Then settle down for a sunset, followed by a bonfire with marshmallows!

Accommodations:

Day 3

Taita Hills & Lumo Conservancy

The Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and Lumo Conservancy are two smaller parks between giants Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Park. The 110-square-kilometre sanctuary of Taita Hills belongs to the oldest mountain ranges of Africa, boasting many endemic bird species, such as the Taita thrush, and larger wildlife such as bush elephants, leopards, buffaloes, cheetahs and lions. The Lumo Conservancy is community-run and can therefore allow for night game drives â€“ an amazing experience!

Accommodations:

Day 4 - 5

Tsavo East National Park

With over 13,000 square kilometres, Tsavo East National Park is huge and impressive, and, since it was founded in 1948, one of Kenya's oldest national parks. Cruise the outstretched savannah of the Yatta Plateau with its large groups of elephants and get to see an amazing amount of animals; four of the Big Five (minus rhinos) together with species like dik-diks, zebras, giraffes, yellow baboons, cheetahs, African wild dogs, elands, gazelles, gerenuks, hyenas, jackals, and over 500 species of birds.

Accommodations:

Day 6

Drive from Tsavo to the coast for relaxation at the beach

It’s time to hit the road. Either take a nap or stay glued to the window, watching the magnificent Kenyan landscape pass by. Once on the beach, you either stay in Diani Beach or cross the water to explore the astonishing Chale Island.

Accommodations:

Day 7 - 10

Diani Beach

Stretching along Kenya's Indian Ocean coast like a ribbon of brilliant white, Diani Beach is a gorgeous setting for a beach holiday. Against the backdrop of forests echoing with the sounds of wildlife, it offers clear blue waters, white palm fringed beaches, and many watersports activities. Here you can swim along sandbanks, snorkel among colourful reefs, dive in deep sea canyons, or try out kitesurfing or supping. And for those in need of a dash of culture, the vibrant city of Mombasa is not far away!
