Arcadia Cottages - Lake Bunyonyi

The Arcadia Cottages near Lake Bunyonyi are nestled amid verdant green hills with a dramatic panoramic view of Lake Bunyonyi, in the extreme southwestern corner of Uganda. Dotted with 29 islands and overlooked by rolling hills, Lake Bunyonyi – known locally as The Place of Many Little Birds – is one of Uganda’s most picturesque locations. The 25 timber or grass-thatched cottages boast a warm interior and plush furnishings and feature a private deck to soak in the unobstructed views of the islands. They have twin or king-sized beds, large windows, a seating area and a private bathroom equipped with a shower and a bathtub (some even have a jacuzzi!). From a viewing point, you can spot local fishermen scouring the waters for the catch of the day, after which you can indulge in good food at the 5-star restaurant with stunning lake views. Last but not least, the bar and lounge create a perfect ambience, ensuring evenings filled with fine drinks and good company.
