Sossusvlei excursion with the Desert Homestead Lodge

The half-day guided excursion starts early from Desert Homestead Lodge, before the desert heat builds, and takes you to Sossusvlei (located in Namib-Naukluft National Park). You drive through the dunes with your guide, who explains how wind shaped the landscape over millions of years and points out features of the desert along the way. The excursion includes a walk into Deadvlei, with the option to climb Dune 45 or Big Daddy if you want to tackle the soft sand. Your guide picks you up from the lodge and brings you back after the excursion.
