1. Wildlife
If you love wildlife documentaries or have been dreaming about seeing African animals in their natural habitat from a young age, you’ll be in paradise. See the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and black rhino – with your own eyes. Witness the animals coming to life, which you marvelled at in your picture books as a child. The biggest spectacle is the Great Wildebeest Migration with millions of wildebeest, zebras and antelopes making their way to greener pastures.
2. Landscapes
Africa is a continent with an almost unmatched diversity, filled with national parks which seem like paintings. Wander through lush jungles and to the summit of Africa’s highest mountains and volcanoes. Take a shower underneath a waterfall and dive into lakes and the ocean. 3. Cultures
The Maasai are probably the most-famous African people. However, there are many more who call this continent their home, for example the Samburu in the north of Kenya or the semi-nomadic Karamojong tribe in the northeast of Uganda. Visit them in their villages and learn more about their traditions, customs and how they’ve lived in harmony with nature for centuries.
