Visit the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point Section of Table Mountain National Park

Stand at the wild edge of the continent at the legendary Cape of Good Hope, part of Table Mountain National Park. Here, dramatic cliffs plunge into crashing oceans and the scenery feels wonderfully untamed. Despite popular belief, this is not Africa’s southernmost point – that honour belongs to Cape Agulhas – but it’s certainly one of its most iconic. Hike coastal trails, scan the sea from Cape Point, or ride the cheeky “Flying Dutchman” funicular to the lighthouse for sweeping views. Wildlife adds extra character: baboons patrol the roads, while antelope graze the fynbos slopes.
