Bamboo Village Safari Lodge, located just a few hundred metres from the Mubaku Gate of Murchison Falls National Park, is a small and homely eco-lodge built mostly out of Uganda’s endemic bamboo. The fourteen cottages have thatched roofs and are built on elevated decks, offering beautiful views over the wilderness. All the rooms are fitted with a private balcony, WiFi, 24-hour power and an ensuite bathroom with hot and cold running water, as well as an an outside shower that allows you to spot wildlife or gaze at the stars while freshening up. The deluxe rooms add intercom service and super king sized beds. The restaurant offers delicious meals (which the chef is happy to adjust to your liking), and there’s a large swimming pool and a bamboo viewing tower to complete the picture.
