Muchenje Safari Lodge

High on an escarpment on the quieter western side of Chobe National Park, Muchenje Safari Lodge lies within the Chobe Forest Reserve with no fences between the lodge and the park boundary – so animals roam freely past! The lodge is located west of the Chobe Riverfront, elevated on an escarpment with sweeping views across the river and seasonal floodplains. The 10 private thatched cottages and one family cottage here each have a private deck, en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and views across the seasonal floodplain. The family cottage adds a mezzanine sleeping area for two children and two bathrooms. You enjoy meals communally in the main lodge’s dining area overlooking the river and a waterhole, though private dining, a lapa by the pool, and a bush braai in a nearby boma are all on offer (the chefs cater for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets too!).
