The Kidepo Savannah Lodge is a basic and cosy lodge, a stone’s throw away from the Kalokudo gate to Kidepo Valley National Park. It offers unrivalled vistas of the expansive Narus Valley, Mount Morungole and the Southern Sudan border. The twelve ensuite safari tents on raised wooden decks boast a simple but comfortable set-up with one double or two single beds, a private terrace and a bathroom with hot water showers and flush toilets in a small traditional roundhouse built next to the tent. The thatched roof bar and restaurant area are great for sundowners and dinners from a fixed menu (as the lodge runs on solar power) but the chef gladly takes dietary requirements into account.
