11 days Kenya: Wildlife wonders and beach bliss
You start your unforgettable journey in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital. The next day, however, you already trade the hustle and bustle of the city for the vast, rugged landscapes of Tsavo West National Park. This smaller park is known for its Shetani Lava Flows, Mzima Springs and the Chaimu Crater and will not only mesmerize you with its landscape, but also with its wildlife including elephants, zebras and four of the Big Five.
Your journey continues to the privately owned Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, which wows you with numerous bird and reptile species which only live in this special speck of land. Since the LUMO Conservancy is not an official national park, unique game drives are possible here – even at night (goosebump alert)!
On the plains of Tsavo East National Park, you can meet the famous “red elephants” and marvel at vast savannahs. Its wide-open horizons make spotting wildlife like elephants, buffalo, and giraffes very easy – and truly unforgettable.
After days of game viewing, the white sand and turquoise water of Watamu are welcoming you, for some easygoing beach days, snorkelling and relaxing par excellence.
