Mountain gorilla trekking in Buhoma (northern sector)

The Buhoma sector lies in the north of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and is home to four gorilla families. It’s the largest sector and the place that pioneered gorilla trekking in Uganda. The first trailhead opened here in 1993 with just one gorilla family. Trekking is physically not the most challenging in this sector, but avid hikers will love it as it boasts some of the most spectacular forest trails in Africa.
