Additional information
The Bamburi Forest is an area on the outskirts of Mombasa, on what used to be a wasteland. The land had been used for mining by the Bamburi Cement Company, when in the 1970s one Dr. Haller was hired to make a plan to revive the area and plant at least one million trees. This resulted in three parks, of which the Bamburi Forest Trails is one.
