From the misty mountains of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, you proceed your journey to Lake Mburo National Park. The drive will take about 8 hours and you’ll see the scenery gradually change to hilly green pastures and wide-open savannahs. Make sure to keep an eye out for wildlife along the way because, as you approach Lake Mburo, you can see rare birds, such as the African finfoot or the shoebill stork. Also, the region is known for zebras, impala, bushbuck, leopards and warthogs. Get your binoculars and cameras out during this trip!
