Skukuza Rest Camp is located in southern Kruger National Park on the banks of the Sabie River, just 12 kilometres away from Paul Kruger Gate. The locals call it the capital of Kruger, as it’s the biggest camp and it includes lots of facilities such as a shop, a deli, an ATM, 2 swimming pools, a laundromat, a petrol station and even a 9-hole golf course. The rest camp offers 178 bungalows, always with 1 bedroom and either 2 or 3 beds. Each bungalow is ensuite with a shower and has a fridge, fans and a sink with some utensils. A communal kitchen is available and there are 2 lovely restaurants on site; the Cattle Baron Skukuza (serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with lovely views on the Sabie) and the Kruger Station (with vegetarian and gluten-free options, ice-cream and a kids zone).
