The Sasaab Camp is perched on a rocky ridge just outside the Samburu National Reserve. The camp offers 9 spacious tents (including a family suite) with high thatched roofs and polished concrete floors. The luminous 100-square-meter tents are tastefully decorated with a blend of Moroccan and Swahili elements and offer breathtaking views of the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Each tent has a four-poster bed, an en-suite bathroom, and a private veranda with sunbeds and a plunge pool from which you can observe majestic herds of elephants bathing in the river for which Samburu is renowned.
The common areas include a lounge, bar, and dining area, an infinity pool, a spa, and a small gym. Head to the dining area set around the lovely central sunken courtyard or to the wooden deck to enjoy delicious meals prepared by the chefs (with fresh eggs and veggies from the small kitchen garden).
