Aberdare Country Club

The Aberdare Country Club is located just two and a half hours drive from Nairobi, in the highlands of Aberdare. Once the homestead of an English couple, it is now open to guests while retaining the charm of a private home with the simple comforts of a country inn. The country club is set in a wildlife sanctuary with manicured gardens and a 9-hole golf course. Zebras and antelopes visit from the surrounding nature and in the evening you can have your sundowner on the terrace with a view into the evening sun. Then it’s off to dinner in the impressive mahogany dining room.
The accommodations at Aberdare Country Club are built in the form of cottages. They each have two bedrooms, but two are set for larger families or groups with three and five bedrooms. All cottages have a fireplace, are equipped with Wi-Fi and some are wheelchair accessible. In the club itself, you can go horseback riding, or cycling or you choose to relax in the pool, sauna, steam room or spa with a fitness room.
