Sarova Shaba Game Lodge

The Sarova Shaba Game Lodge is beautifully located on the bank of the Ewaso Nyiro River in the Shaba National Reserve. This reserve is a protected area in Isiolo County, East of the Samburu National Park. It is also known as the birth place of the Born Free Foundation, since Joy and George Adamson nurtured Elsa the lioness on the grounds of Shaba in the 50s, before setting her free.

The lodge consists of 85 rustic chalets, each with a private terrace, comfy beds and bathrooms. The dining area is set in a beautifully built banda next to a swimming pool and overlooking the river bank and its animals.
