Yes, why not! Upon creating your trip, we make sure that we organise it for you AND your kids so that you can enjoy it to the fullest. Depending on your situation, this can mean: fewer hours in the car per day or choosing national parks where you’ll likely encounter the most animals.
We ensure the kids have enough time in the pool or on the beach, and show you how to book child seats and Wi-Fi in the car. Also, we carefully select accommodations with special facilities for your little ones, like pools, activities, or even nannies and make sure baby beds or interconnected rooms are booked.
Lastly, we help you choose activities that are best suited for the little ones, depending on their age. Trust us, they won’t be bored!

If you plan a family holiday in South Africa with kids, it’s best to check with your doctor or health office if vaccinations and medication are needed. Normally, no vaccinations are needed for South Africa, so this shouldn’t give too many challenges. There are some areas with a risk of malaria, but we can help you avoid those if you so wish. 

Yes, no problem! Kids are usually thrilled to see wild animals in real life! Things they only see on screens or in books suddenly appear in front of their car windows – imagine them seeing that lion cub they only know from The Lion King…

While you cruise the savannah in your rental car (maps provided!), your speed is limited and with every animal you stop. This allows your little ones (and you!) to stand up from their child seats to enjoy the views. And maps of the parks show enough lodges where you can stop for a drink, some snacks, toilets or a run around. 

Of course, you can rent a car seat straight upon arrival, at the rental car office. We want you to travel comfortably with your kids, with baby or booster seats for their safety (price on request). 

In general, hotel staff in South Africa are very fond of children, but not all hotels offer the same (amount of) services for the little ones. In some lodges, you might find supervised playgrounds, animation teams or nanny services, while others just offer a swimming pool and a kids’ menu. Some of these services are complimentary, for others you have to pay extra. Your consultant is happy to inform you about the options and help you to make the best choice!
