Tawi Lodge is located on private land a five-minute drive from the eastern Kimana Gate of Amboseli National Park. From the lodge, you have a beautiful view over Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance and a waterhole close by. Here, elephants, zebras, impala kudu, gerenuks and many more animals come to drink en mass every day.
The lodge itself is set up in a modern comfortable style, but also shows beautiful African details. It’s surrounded by beautifully kept lawns and a lush garden, while just behind the savannah lurks and elephants pass by. Rooms are decorated in dark wood with white-washed walls under a thatched roof. The furniture is heavy and comfortable and the views from the cottages’ terraces are just amazing. The main area of the lodge is spacious with inside a restaurant, bar, lounge and fireplace, and outside a swimming pool, decked terrace and firepit. The kitchen loves to experiment and uses only fresh ingredients that turn into amazingly tasty dishes that are both European and Swahili-inspired. A lovely place!
