The eco-friendly Samburu Sopa Lodge adds an authentic touch to tourism with lovely traditional houses. This lodge manages to maintain high-end tourism standards while supporting local development, by mostly employing people from the local community. The 15 tastefully decorated, traditional cottages all have two bedrooms and an outside terrace. They are scattered around the main shared area, which is composed of a restaurant, a reception and a swimming pool. What’s more, the rooms all face the waterhole where animals come to drink and freshen up. And, as the lodge lies on top of a hill, it offers an amazing view of the surrounding Samburu National Reserve. An amazing place to comfortably admire the Kenyan wildlife.
